Sept 9th-12th Mini Trip Tennessee/Missouri

I appreciate all that came out to the events that I had just posted and talked about on the lives. I appreciate you guys takin’ interest in the channel and gettin’ to meet you which is an honor to me even more then me takin’ on the challenges and competin’ in contests.

The first day on the trip I had a good time at KC Finn’s in Jackson, TN on Thursday Sept 9th of the Live I had posted on my Da Garbage Disposal Facebook page and will be out on YouTube in a a couple weeks. I stopped off and edited that KC Finn’s video at a McDonald’s which was really nice to sit down and get to edit and drink coffee in an establishment. I was there until 10PM then headed to a Walmart a couple blocks away to sleep in my car (w/o engine runnin’) (Video will post Sept 20th, 2021)

On Friday Sept 10th I woke up and headed to a McDonald’s in route to Martin, TN Soybean Festival Sammie’s Ham and Cheese Contest. I ordered coffee again edited the Vlog from the day before Vlog 339 which will be out Sept 22nd, 2021. Then headed to Martin TN where I posted up for a couple more hours at Sammie’s and used their wifi while I drank plenty of water. I left there and headed to the Contest at The Soybean Festival which was a lot of fun and chatted with the locals that were in the contest (handed plenty of cards out). That video is not edited along with the rest of the vlogs, challenges and contests so I do not have a date to give you on those. If you check my event calendar you will see when they will post if you periodically check that).

I had about 2 hours to drive before my live so I tried to make it far as I could to find a signal that was good for it but to no avail I could not so sadly enough I had to cancel that live but will schedule one soon for a midday. I made it to a rest area in Fruitland, MO near Cape Girardeau, MO and slept there since I was about 30 minutes from Perryville where I had a challenge at Salerno’s Pizzeria.

On Saturday 11th I woke up to start to record my vlog while I used my hotspot at one of the rest area benches and enjoyed the breeze that mornin’ around 7AM, shared some videos, drank more coffee and answered comments til I had to go to get to Salerno’s Pizzeria for the challenge. I had to rush out of there since the challenge started about 45 minutes late because I had a contest in 2 hours and I like to get to my events early to shoot videos. The event was a Toasted Ravioli contest at the Pasta House Co. in Festus, MO. and I schedule as many events as I can handle on trips to get footage for you guys. I knew that the toasted ravioli was only gonna be a max of 2lbs and had about 6lbs earlier so I was okay with it. The folks at both of these events today were amazingly hospitable and I will be pack to Salerno’s to kick off a chicken wing challenge in the future. I then drove to my Mom’s to spend the night to wake up and help her with some items she needed done around her house which I brought tools to help her out with.

Today Sunday 12th, 2021 I woke up at 7AM started the day with sharin’ the video that just came out and my usual catchin’ up on comments. There will be a chicken wing contest later on today as well for you guys. I am on a starve day today with all fluids and no solids, tomorrow will be mostly fluids with a light breakfast and light dinner. Only 3 days but exhausted because I managed to get 7 videos out of this 3 day trip (2 contests, 2 challenges and 3 vlogs) while I edited 2 videos. Lots of shootin’ videos and more goes into what I do than you may thank but it is worth it to meet you guys and to bring you guys a steady amount of videos.

Next trip will be with Notorious B.O.B. From Memphis, TN to Dallas, TX where we will start off on that trip Oct 6th and end on Oct 12th. That schedule will be up by the first of Oct. and we hope if you are nearby that you will be able to come visit us. We are acceptin’ donations for help woth gas and hotels for that trip so if you would like to help anythang is appreciated and those links are in my descriptions of the videos on my YouTube channel.

Aug 2021 Update Blog

I recently finished challenge 361 and just feeling burnt out on competing much in bigger events with the big dog professionals. I am more into the reaction videos, speed challenges, havin’ fun and meetin’ Disposal Team Members, Vlogs, bad actin’ and cookin’ videos. You might see me compete in smaller contests but I need to to get my name out there and spread the channel. I advertise everywhere I go and ask you guys to help by sharin’ videos which a few do but not as many as I hope for. Sharin’ videos really helps the channel get the word out to many more people. I have been puttin’ a video out every single day to stay afloat on YouTube for the past month and with some help with Disposal Team Members sponsorin’ videos I am still able to do this job.

I started raisin’ chickens and after I get rid of the roosters we will have around 85-88 hens to lay eggs. Not much profit in it either but with 5 dozen eggs a day might only be about $300 net profit at best. To help out with profit I will be picklin’ eggs which 11-12 will fit in each jar and sell for $8 ($1 return on each jar). I found a farmer’s market over here and am goin’ to start sellin’ my gooey butter cakes, banananana breads, pickles and such there until I get my business license. Hopefully in 2022 Tosha and I will be able to start our business so we can sell online and start shippin’ pickles, gooey butter cakes, cookies, etc.

For now I am hangin’ in there with the food eatin’ but it is just gettin’ almost too much for me the older I get I do not feel like it much anymore and push myself to keep goin’

Future of my Professional Career?

I get a lot of comments on YouTube and other platforms kinda like this…… “hey instead of eatin’ 1 of those as a speed challenge try and eat 30 Big Macs” or Hey see how many you can eat in an hour” etc etc. I started off at speed challenges and huge challenges but I am 44 years old as of today typin’ this Dec 03, 2020 (birthday is Mar 30, 1976.

I continue to tell people that realistically this is not a long term job and it is not like playin’ a Nintendo game where you die and start back over. I been tapperin’ off for over a year to incorporate vlogs. I have always had b-roll and bad actin’ here and there because I am goofy and that will never change. I am gettin’ out of the food contests and the massive challenges because of the age and I had stopped trainin’ in April 2019. I can’t compete with professional eaters that train every day and I do not.

I will continue to provide speed challenges to keep that circulatin’ as well as do much more bad actin’ once we get moved into the new house which should be the middle of Dec 2020 for the closin’ date. There will be lots of diverse videos from chickens, home projects, campin’, fishin, lots of bad actin, cookin’ (crazy and reg cookin’ vids) and more. We will be gettin’ puppies, kittens 40 chics and have many videos of them as well.

I thank you for everyone that has subscribed to my YouTube channel and has been with me through everythang and that continues to like to watch the channel. For the ones that just want to see massive food challenges this channel is not goin;’ to be to your likin’ anymore. I will be sellin’ banana breads, gooey butter cakes, pickles, salsa, chow chow (cha cha) and much more on this website in the future probably fall of 2021 startin’ once we get all the health department licenses and everythang we need to get goin’. So thank you again and I appreciate you!!!

This week Scott welcomes Brandon "Da Garbage Disposal" Clark to the show. Brandon is a professional eater. The professional eating genre on YouTube is growing by leaps and bounds. If you're unfamiliar with how professional eating works; essentially, the eater will take on a food challenge at a restaurant. The challenges usually have a time limit and, if completed, the eater can receive cash, prizes, or recognition in the restaurant.

Brandon has been professionally eating for over 3 years and his YouTube following has grown as a result. In this conversation, Brandon shares what preparation he goes through for these challenges.

The technical side of being a YouTube content creator is a lot more involved than people think. In this conversation, Brandon shares the struggles he faced in the early days of making videos.

Brandon recently lost his house in an electrical fire. In this episode, he shares the crazy details of the night and how he got he and his daughter to safety.

Brandon has competed in some pretty interesting food challenges. In this talk, he gives the details on some of the more notable ones; pretty entertaining stuff. Brandon also finishes off things with an on-the-spot food challenge; quite something to see.

We hope you enjoy Scott's talk with Brandon "Da Garbage Disposal" Clark and SHARE with a friend!

How I started my Professional Eatin’ Career (Continued)

I arrived at Righteous Pig BBQ in Belleville Illinois were I was to eat a 4LB Cuban sandwich, a pint of baked beans and a pint of potato salad. I was so tense and adrenaline was pumpin’ I could not tell you what was goin’ on around me that day but that I was starin’ at a large amount of food in front of me and we had 45 minutes to eat it.

I do remember there were about 10 contestants ready to beat me because they were all the fastest in their minds. I began to eat and all I could remember is I was done with the sandwich and I heard someone yell “He is drinkin’ the beans!!”. I had grabbed the pint container and just started to chug them. I was no professional at this point because this was my very first contest/challenge, I just have a thang for efficiency and productivity from bein’ on a construction site.

I finished in a lil over 7 minutes then I had gotten up to walk off my adrenaline. I was walkin’ around pickin’ my teeth with a straw for 5 or so minutes while the rest kept eatin’ to see who would get 2nd and 3rd. I thought to myself “what is wrong with them, they can’t finish this?” It was not but 2 or 3 seconds later I thought to myself again “Maybe somethin’ is wrong with me.”

Well 45 minutes went by and nobody finished but me. I then signed up for a chicken wing contest someone told me about at that event afterwards down the street a week later at 618 Big Daddy’s and beat a professional eater. I went home and googled [The top 5 food challenges in St Louis] Like on Man Vs Food but I just wanted to finish 5 for my bucket list. To this day i have over 320 wins as of 09-18-2020.

I have to tell you that I went back the next year for that Righteous Pig BBQ Cuban sandwich contest and nobody showed up but me. I finished in 2 minutes less of a time than the followin’ year and I ate a crispy delicious bbq pig snoot right after the challenge. (If you do not know what a bbq pig snoot is you are not from the St. Louis area. We also have a Gooey Butter Cake that most are not aware of either. I highly recommend you try them if in town). I have to note that Righteous Pig BBQ is no longer in business (and no it isn’t because I ate them out of business lol)

I actually turned professional because I was getttin’ kicked out of events because I ate too fast so why not be one if they was goin’ to accuse me of it?

How I acquired the Da Garbage Disposal Name

I had someone tell me that I was The Da Garbage Disposal and never thought about usin’ that name but when they brought it to my attention that that would be a gr8 name I had put up a poll what name I should go by. I wanted to use the name The Fridge Raider (like Fridgerator) with a foodnado, which is a tornado of food like on my logo now, comin’ out the side. My Brother wanted me to use “Clark the Shark” but that sounded to me like a Mafia Bookee or somethin’. Overwhelmingly The Garbage Disposal took the most votes. I was goin’ to use that name but someone I researched went by that name in NY but wasn’t a professional and I still didn’t want anyone to come back and say that they have some sort of rights on the name so I just changed the “The” to a “Da”.

What I Stand For in my Merch

I am a hard workin’ guy that likes quality. I like what I buy not to be expensive and not to leave me broke, I feel others should have what I believe in. I spend the little extra to get you quality without chargin’ you the extra cost I incur. Yes I could make an extra $1-$2 per sale but I would rather sleep better at night knowin’ that I treated you as I would want to be treated. I put my pants on just like anyone else, I am not above my own beliefs.

I thank you for your support in comin’ to my Storefront where you are always welcome to fill out the comment/inquiries form to let me know what your thoughts and feedback are as well as any questions you may have.

Have a gr8 day unless you made other plans!!!
